Fluid pump with three positions for analytical filtration units
The traditional setup for simultaneous filtration of several samples requires three components: a suction bar with several positions, a vacuum bottle, and a vacuum pump, possibly with silencer and fine regulation. Thanks to the new 3-in-1 system by Hahnemühle, it is now possible to do without all these components. The super-flat housing features three positions for filter units and the powerful low-noise pump which sucks fluids from the filter holders and pumps them directly into the drain.

Combined with the easy-to-use monitors, the new pump system is ideal for membrane filtration in microbiology. These ready-to-use 100 ml filtration units comprise a 0.45 µm cellulose nitrate membrane of 47 mm diameter and a monitoring grid with filter cardboard beneath it. After filtration, the monitors can be quickly turned into petri dishes; once the culture medium has been added, they are ready for incubation (listed under "Filtration" / "Membrane filter").

The housing is made of aluminium. Pump head, membrane, and valves are of PP and EPDM, the hoses of Norpren® and the adapters and tubes of stainless steel (CiNiMo). Thanks to the reistance of these materials against the approved disinfectants isopropanol and hydrogen peroxide solution, the pump is easy to clean inside and outside.
