The VITLAB® multichannel pipettes are characterized by their especially user-friendly operation while pipetting long series. They include all the features requested by the users: robustness, simple operation, complete autoclavability, highest accuracy and easy calibration for long lasting reliability. This is of essence particularly in the well-proven application sectors of multichannel pipettes, such as radio immunoassays, cell culture dilution techniques, or work with cell cultures in microtiter plates.
Innovative synthetic materials make the VITLAB® multichannel pipettes very light-weight yet highly robust. Piston and ejector are corrosion-resistant for a long useful life. The low weight combined with the ergonomically shaped finger bracket allow for a high operating comfort. For an ergonomically optimal working posture, the pipetting unit furthermore rotates freely by 360°.
The large pipetting button in the centre provides for smooth piston movement. In addition, the short stroke length of 12.5 mm helps to reduce the risk of muscle problems such as the Repetitive Strain Injury Syndrome (RSI). Combined with the stepped ejector design, the special rings made of FKM reduce the effort required to eject the pipette tips, thus increasing the user comfort.
In terms of servicing, cleaning, and calibration, the multichannel pipettes are particularly low-maintenance. If necessary, for example when working with non-aqueous solutions, the pipette can be re-calibrated by means of the integrated function directly in the laboratory. No tools are required for calibration. The individual shafts and seals of the VITLAB® multichannel pipettes are easy to remove for direct cleaning or replacement.
The VITLAB® multichannel pipettes-8 and -12 are certified compliant to DIN 12600, have a CE mark according to IVD directive 98/79/EC, and are fully autoclavable at 121°C (2 bar) according to DIN EN 285.
Scope of delivery: VITLAB® micropipette-8 or -12, installation wrench for pipette shafts, silicone grease, 8 or 12 V-rings incl. manual and installation and removal tool, quality certificate, and operating manual.
Calibrated to deliver "Ex". Accuracy and coefficient of variation based on the nominal volume (= maximum volume) printed on the instrument, if instrument, environment and distilled water are at the same temperature (20°C), as well as uniform, jerk-free handling. The margins of error are under those specified in DIN EN ISO 8655-2.
