Barrel hand pumps made of high grade steel:
Special precautions are necessary when filling combustible liquids. The filling equipment has to be made of electrically conductive materials, and there has to be an electrically conductive connection between the dispensing and the receiving container. This barrel pump made of stainless steel helps to ensure the safe filling of combustible liquids.The parts in contact with the medium are made of stainless steel (material 1.4301) and PTFE. Electrostatic charging is discharged by an anti-statics set and a barrel threaded connector (accessory). Please follow Ex regulations.
Not suitable for acetone! For solvents we recommend the solvent pumps.

When filling liquids, electrostatic charges may form if the dispensing and the receiving containers are not sufficiently grounded. With many substances these electrostatic charges could result in fires or explosions. The pertinent regulations state therefore that it is imperative to ensure proper earthing when filling ether, benzene, petroleum spirit, carbon bisulfide and similar liquids.
