Application:
Planetary Ball Mills are suitable for mixing and grinding soft, medium-hard, extremely hard, brittle and fibrous materials. They are used whenever high degrees of fineness down to the submicron range are to be achieved in a very shorrt time. In addition to dry and wet grinding, they are also suitable for colloidal grinding and mechanical alloying. Typical materials are minerals, ores, chemicals, ceramics, soils, household and industrial waste etc.

3 High energy ball mill Emax

Application:
The Emax is an entirely new type of ball mill for high energy milling for medium-hard, hard, brittle and fibrous materials. The combination of high friction and impact results in extremely fine particles within the shortest amount of time. Thanks to the cooling system with water, the high energy input is effectively used for the grinding process without overheating the sample. The Emax is capable of continuous grinding operation without interruptions for cooling down. The high energy input in combination with the unique cooling system provides perfect conditions for effective mechanical alloying or grinding down to the nanometer range.

  • speed of 2000 min-1 allow for ultra-fast and fine pulverization of the sample
  • controlled water cooling allow for continuous operation without timely cool down breaks
  • temperature-controlled grinding
  • narrow particle size distribution thanks to special jar design which improves mixing of the sample
