The ZEPTER molecular modeling set is intended for making models of impressive vividness and size that can be used very efficiently in lecture halls and seminars.
The bonding elements are made of nickel-plated metal. They have a very durable spring mechanism at both ends for tight fit that nevertheless is easy to detach by hand. The finished models are of a formidable stability.
When making for example a model of stearic acid, you can hold it by the last C-atom and let it dangle freely. Double and triple bonds are inflexible, just like they are in nature, and permanently linked to the atoms. Models of large aromatic compounds, for example of tetracene and benzopyrene, remain planar also in the demonstration model.
Nitrogen and oxygen elements are equipped with four holes to allow for protonations; furthermore, this allows you to combine this set with the ZEPTER Orbital modeling set.
The connectors can be rotated along their longitudinal axis; this not only reflects reality but also makes it possible to demonstrate flipping over and turning of groups and compounds.
All types of atoms are made of impact-resistant plastic in clear, bright colors. Depending on the individual model, the atoms are available with the corresponding bond angle. Crystal lattices can be modeled as well.
