Simplified, very fast blotting. Regardless of the number of transfer units, transfer time is about 1 hour at a constant current of 0.8 mA/cm2 at room temperature.
The electrode plates are made of a carbon fiber / graphic mixture with copper mesh inlay to provide optimal, uniform voltage distribution.
No cooling is required, since very little heat is generated. Very little buffer solution is needed. You can stack up to 6 transfer units for multiple-blot applications.
You can use the device for simple creation of transfer units by inserting SDS PAGE and nitrocellulose membranes between filter paper, which has been soaked in buffer solution. A dialysis membrane is used to separate multiple transfer units.
