The Welch piston pumps of the WOB-L® series have been developed for physical applications in the laboratory, primarily in the sector of life science. Typical applications for these economical vacuum pumps comprise the filtration of aqueous solutions, use in vacuum ovens, and sampling. WOB-L® pumps operate free of oil and are not suitable for delivery of aggressive, acidic, alkaline, or organic vapors. However, chemical resistance for example during drying processes is ensured by the PTFE-coat of the piston surface. Some models are fit for use as a vacuum pump and additionally as a compressor. Thus, you can apply them for example to pressure filtration if the vacuum is insufficient for the filtration process.
