Water Detector LWW 20 monitors the cooling water supply (e.g. for a distilling cooler) via a platinum relay switch at the outlet (tube connector 10mm) of the appliance. The switch is connected to a relay via a switchboard cable (5 meters in length). This relay controls the electrical connection for the heater, e.g. for distilling apparatus.
When a shortage of cooling water is registered, the relay closes down the heater. At the same time, an acoustic and visual warning signal is emitted. After the cooling water supply has been restored, the Water Detector is reactivated via a disconnection switch. The relay then switches the heater on again.
N.B. Only electrically conductive coolant can be used with the Water Detector.
