Instrument for testing the tightness of closures and seals on packages, e.g. in the pharmaceutical or food industry. As standard test method the test chamber is filled with water and the package placed under a height-adjustable perforated disk. When vacuum is applied, air bubbles indicate a leaky package.
Basic model, for applying a vacuum using an external diaphragm pump (not included). Comprising a PMMA test chamber, incl. push-rod with submersible plate, analog vacuum gauge 0 to 1200 mbar and fine control valve.
Extended basic model, easy to use, suitable for routine work as well as for research and development laboratories. Compact design and small space requirement thanks to the integration of the electronic control unit, test chamber (made of PMMA) and a high-performance pump in a single unit. Vacuum control system with vacuum sensor and electronic program controller, setpoint selection in 1 mbar increments. Setting range from 0 to -500/-750 mbar (rel.). Test procedure pre-set in 4 vacuum steps with 20 sec. stop time per step. Automatic test start upon reaching the predefined vacuum. The system is then vented automatically.
Safety through electronically limited maximum vacuum, plus an additional mechanical pressure limiter. Vacuum pump included.
Test chambers are available in customized sizes on request.
Large model of the digital packing tester. Differs in having a square test chamber (recommended size L 500 × W 400 × H 300 mm, final size according to customer's specifications). Test chamber with hinged lid and additional vent valve. Submersible grid made of rustproof wire mesh. Separate controller in PP housing with reinforced vacuum pump. Vacuum included in delivery.
